Terms of service
Last updated October 14, 2026
These terms apply to the forecasting and planning services provided by Weather for Weddings ("we," "us") to you ("you," the client). By booking a package or ordering a report, you agree to them.
1. What we provide
We provide weather information, climate statistics, forecasts, briefings and recommendations for your event, as described in the package you book. Package contents and prices are listed on this website at the time you book.
2. Forecasts are guidance
Weather forecasts are estimates of what is likely to happen, not guarantees. Climate statistics describe what has happened in the past, not what will happen on your date. We tell you how confident we are, and we build decisions with a margin for uncertainty, but weather can still behave differently than forecast.
All decisions about your event, including whether to move, delay, or stop it, remain with you, your planner and your venue. Our recommendations are one input to those decisions.
3. Safety
When we call a lightning hold or recommend sheltering, we do so to help protect your guests and vendors. Following safety guidance, and following any rules set by your venue or local authorities, is the responsibility of you, your planner and your venue. In any emergency, follow official warnings and the instructions of local authorities.
4. Payments
- Packages are reserved with a 50% non-refundable retainer. The balance is due 14 days before the event.
- A Date Report is paid in full when ordered. Its price is credited toward a full package booked within 60 days.
- If you postpone, your payments carry over to a new date within 12 months.
- If you cancel more than 14 days before the event, the retainer is kept and no further payment is due. Within 14 days of the event, the full price is due, because the work is already under way.
- If we must cancel for any reason, we will refund everything you have paid for services we did not provide.
5. On-site support
On-site packages include travel within 50 miles of our base. Travel beyond that is billed at cost, as agreed in advance. If conditions make it unsafe or impossible for us to reach your venue, we will provide the same support remotely.
6. Our responsibility
We will provide our services with professional care. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for them, and we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as costs from changing your plans, or losses caused by weather itself.
7. Your materials and ours
The reports and briefings we prepare are for you, your guests, and the vendors working on your event. Please don't resell them or present them as your own work.
8. Privacy
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Weather for Weddings is organized. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the version in effect when you book applies to your booking.
